Am I A Witch?

An immersive audio play; written and directed by Aimee for Poet In The City’s “Herstory” Festival Newcastle. The fictionalised stories of 6 people accused of Witchcraft at the 1650 Witch Trials in Newcastle, featuring Daniel Matthew Lemon, Steph Corbett, Aimee Shields, Lynn Huntley, Sue Osborn and Mel Armstrong Purdy. F-Bomb Theatre selected “Shit Man” as part of their offering for International Women’s Day 2022. Performed by Sally Cairns and edited by Linzi Kelly.

  • Black Dark- Your Voice North East 2021

    The first stage performance of Black Dark was at Live Theatre in September 2021 as part of the “Your Voice: North East” programme. Directed by JonLuke McKie, featuring Elijah Young as Sam and Rachel Stockdale as Lara.

  • Black Dark- Radio Edit

    Black Dark was performed as a radio play by Just Out Theatre as part of their “Stays In” online programme in Oct 2020. Directed by Lexi Ward, featuring Jessica Porter and Ewan Mulligan.

  • Black Dark- Zoom Edit

    Up Ere Productions staged a Zoom performance of Black Dark in April 2020 during their Breakfast Club season of online showings. Directed by Jon O’Neill featuring Jordan Akkaya and Gemma Whitely.

  • Shit Man- A Monologue

    Commissioned by Novo Productions in April 2020 , Shit Man was a 5 minute piece for a female drama school graduate from the North East who would not receive a showcase due to the Covid Pandemic. Woman was played by Becky Lindsay and directed by Jake Smith.

  • Dorian Gray

    My 1920s, Polari-driven adaptation of Dorian Gray was written for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019 and a work-in-progress performance featured in the All England Theatre Festival in April of that year. We won Best Youth Performance and Jasper Worrallo and Aidan Macfarlane shared the award for Best Actor for their roles of Dorian Gray and Harry Wootten respectively.

  • This Is Yorkshire

    Inspired by Channel 4’s This Is England, our play was a Yorkshire take on skinhead culture and ska. Written for the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, an early version of the play won two awards at the All England Theatre Festival in February of 2018; one for Best Youth Production and the Adjudicators Award for Direction.
